Rare Christian Dior by John Galliano Fall 2004 Silk Chiffon Ruffled Two-Piece Set

An exceptionally romantic and rare Christian Dior by John Galliano two-piece ensemble from the Fall/Winter 2004 collection, crafted entirely in delicate 100% silk chiffon with a 100% silk lining.

The set consists of a beautifully constructed camisole-style top and coordinating long skirt, both covered with cascading, asymmetrical layers of chitton ruttles. The pale silvery sage-grey color enhances the ethereal movement of the silk, creating the dramatic yet feminine silhouette that defined John Galliano's Dior during this period.

The top features ultra-fine spaghetti straps, an off-the-shoulder floating ruffle detail and cascading chiffon flounces extending down the front and around the waist. The matching skirt is particularly spectacular, constructed with numerous overlapping tiers of silk chiffon that create extraordinary movement when worn.

A beautiful couture-inspired detail can be found at the side of the skirt: a row of tiny silk-covered buttons, an iconic Galliano-era design signature, combined with intricate diagonal panel construction.
